Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival in Udawalawe. Check into a safari lodge near Udawalawe National Park. In the afternoon, enjoy a jeep safari in the park, renowned for its large population of elephants. Witness these majestic creatures in their natural habitat, along with other wildlife such as sambar deer, wild buffalo, and a variety of bird species.
Day 2
Transfer to Bundala National Park, a haven for migratory birds and a hotspot for birdwatching. Embark on a jeep safari and explore the park's wetlands, salt pans, and sand dunes. Spot flamingos, pelicans, painted storks, and various other bird species.
Day 3
Return to Udawalawe for another safari experience. Witness elephants roaming freely, observe water buffalo in their natural habitat, and keep an eye out for the elusive leopard. Visit the Elephant Transit Home, a rehabilitation center for orphaned elephants.
Day 4
Departure from Udawalawe. Before leaving, go on a final morning safari to capture any missed wildlife encounters. Afterward, bid farewell to the national park and continue your onward journey.
