Mirissa, a charming coastal town in Sri Lanka, is renowned for its stunning beaches, vibrant nightlife, whale watching, and serene atmosphere, making it a perfect tropical escape.
Day 1: Colombo to Mirissa
Early Morning:
Travel to Mirissa: Depart from Colombo early in the morning, around 6 AM. You can hire a private car. The journey takes about 3 to 4 hours by road.
Breakfast: Have breakfast on the way or pack a meal to eat during the journey.
Mid-Morning:
Arrive in Mirissa: Arrive in Mirissa around 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM and check in to your accommodation.
Beach Time: Head to Mirissa Beach and spend some time relaxing or swimming.
Afternoon:
Lunch: Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant or your hotel.
Whale Watching: Join an afternoon whale-watching tour, which usually starts around 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM (ensure to book in advance).
Evening:
Sunset at Coconut Tree Hill: Visit Coconut Tree Hill for a picturesque sunset view.
